Job Description

- Develop and implement the brand strategy for the Benelux and Switzerland markets
- Deliver the agreed commercial targets by inspiring and engaging consumers through smart portfolio selections and development of inspirational brand communications and engagement activities
- Lead, motivate and develop the Marketing Brand Team
- Define the annual marketing plans per market (product launches, plans by brand and by products) based on the global marketing strategy
- Work collaboratively across the business to contribute to achievement of budgeted Gross Sales and EBITDA targets
- Supervise product launches and implementation of the promotional plans in order to achieve brand and sales objectives
- Define and own the local markets' portfolio strategies ; Identify portfolio gaps and ensure SKU selection is optimized at individual planogram level
- Define, execute and control marketing budgets by brand and by distribution channels (direct / indirect sales) to achieve key KPI measures and ensure that investment decisions are rigorously assessed and reviewed in line with business processes.
- Supervise SKU price positioning in line with global guidance and local market situation
- Own the brand calendars and ensure accuracy of information provided to merchandising, demand planning and sales
- Produce market analyses to report on competitive activity and consumers trends and use information appropriately.
- Lead brand communication plans and media strategy for each planning cycle in line with global guidelines through collaboration with the dedicated media/PR agency
- Supervise design of marketing documentation to salons and end-users (product documentation, POS advertising / merchandising)
- Work with sales teams to actively engage key retailers and distributors and work with key retailers on account specific consumer engagement programmes.
- Define and deliver the best in class digital strategy and plans within agreed budgets.
- Lead marketing presentations in various business reviews at corporate level.
- Act as an internal and external ambassador for the brands

Competencies

- Marketing educational background (Master''s degree or equivalent) required.
- A passion and a working knowledge of the cosmetics category
- Commercial marketing experience
- Team management
- Budgetary management responsibility
- Successful track record (min 5 years) in leading and developing the marketing function with excellent strategic and operational experience, strong communication, inter-personal and stakeholder skills.
- Strong comprehension of all areas of the marketing mix and strong commercial acumen
- Deep knowledge of cosmetic products and recognition of category trends
- Outstanding executional experience and strong understanding of in-store environment promotional and POS landscape.
- Solid knowledge of media landscape and experience in managing media agencies to develop and buy innovative media plans
- Proven project management skills and adhering to deadlines on deliverables
- Team leaderhip skills to coach and develop a team with the ability to deliver results through others
- Ability to manage several major projects at any one time and take accountability for delivery
- Excellent communicator and good team player with the ability to collaborate
- Ability to act as a strong brand ambassador, both internally and externally
- Strong financial and analytical skills including budget management
- Experience of working in a matrix environment and ability to work across cultures, having strong cross-cultural awareness
- Fluent Dutch and English absolutely required.
- Excellent level of French would be very much appreciated.
